Questions shippers ask
How does shipping from China to the Caribbean work?
Most cargo moves ocean FCL or LCL from a China load port to a Caribbean gateway, often with transshipment at a hub port on the rotation named on your quote. Air is used when the date cannot survive that chain. Yihang quotes pickup in China, export clearance, the international legs, and destination services you request. Transit is confirmed on the quote, not guessed from a blog.
Can you ship from China to Trinidad and Tobago?
Yes. Commercial cargo usually enters via Port of Spain by FCL or LCL, then clears through Trinidad and Tobago Customs and Excise with your broker. Send the supplier city, Port of Spain or final address, and cargo details for a prepaid quote.
What about China to Guyana freight?
Georgetown is the usual ocean port. Mining, industrial, and multi-container projects are quoted from weights, dimensions, and container count. Guyana Revenue Authority rules apply at import; your broker confirms documents and duties for your HS code.
How is sea freight from China to Guadeloupe different?
Guadeloupe is a French overseas department. Import clearance runs through French customs under EU rules, and octroi de mer may apply on top for many goods. Pointe-à-Pitre is the main port. Plan transshipment legs on the quote; do not assume the same customs process as Trinidad or Guyana.
Do you handle out-of-gauge, reefer, or dangerous goods to the Caribbean?
Yes, when dimensions, product data, and the destination broker path are known. Flat rack, open top, reefer, DG, and breakbulk are quoted from measurements and UN details, not from a standard dry-container rate.
Can cargo load in other Asian countries and still discharge in the Caribbean?
Cross-trade from other Asian origins can be quoted when the supplier city and load port are named. Caribbean import rules at destination stay the same; only the first leg origin changes. Prepaid quoting applies from the port you specify.
Should I book FCL or LCL from China to the Caribbean?
Under about 12 CBM, LCL is usually the ocean option for stackable general cargo. From about 15 CBM, FCL is often cleaner. Between those, price both. Heavy, dense, non-stackable, reefer, or DG cargo may need FCL or special equipment regardless of cube.
Do you offer freight collect to the Caribbean?
No. Ocean and air freight on this lane are quoted prepaid. The reply names origin charges, the international leg, and any destination services you asked for.
