How the chain works
- One carnet listing every country, or a separate temporary import per country
- Exit stamp at each show country, entry stamp at the next
- Storage between shows, bonded where required
- The last leg returns home, or the goods are sold
Guide
Exhibits can move from one trade show to the next without returning to the country they came from, for example from Munich to Dubai, or from Las Vegas to Toronto. An ATA carnet can cover several countries on one document, within its validity and each country’s time limit. Between shows, the cargo may need bonded storage. Yihang Shipping plans the chain from China and, for legs that never touch China, through its network of more than 180 overseas agents in more than 80 countries. The quote names the agent on each leg; Yihang keeps the file.
